- ASA Job Bank - This is a service provided by the American Sociological Association. Non-members can download a PDF of current job listings. In addition, members (including student members) can search by several different criteria, pulling up appropriate jobs by rank, salary, date posted, and so forth.
- Chronicle Careers from the Chronicle of Higher Education provides job listings from many different academic fields, as well as positions outside academe.
- Career Dashboard at Inside Higher Ed also provides job listings not specific to academic sociology.

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT * SOCIOLOGY
Stony Brook University invites applications for two full-time tenure track Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor positions in Sociology. We will consider candidates in all topical areas, but special consideration will be given to candidates whose specialties are in crime and deviance, family, or sociological theory. A global focus is also appreciated. PhD required or anticipated completion of PhD by August 1, 2007.
Stony Brook, located 60 miles from Manhattan, is a diverse, research-oriented university and the Department of Sociology has an active, high quality PhD program.
