If this takes off, we'll need to decide on some sort of guidelines for contributions. For example, what would justify deleting someone else's contribution. Wikipedia asks that every claim be sourced and that articles present a neutral point of view (NPOV). This is not always possible, besides, we need not follow wikipedia's standards. If this is too abstract for you, take a look at Honky's description of ASR.

Agreed. My own opinion is that many of these should be worked out in practice. Any time you change or delete it is helpful to provide an explanation, and/or to contribute to the discussion page for the article. Since this wiki is intended to contain lots of different opinions rather than provide one authoritative answer, there will probably be more diversity of opinion than on wikipedia. One possible guideline is that contributions should reflect basic scholarly commitments, that is, claims should be founded in evidence, we shouldn't plagiarize, and we should prefer clear argument over bald assertion. Do you have other specific suggestions? --msevans 6 Nov 2006

Who ultimately has authority over this wiki?

The ASA Student Forum Advisory Board, which is an elected board of representatives serving student interests at ASA. Like a section, the Student Forum is semi-autonomous from ASA. The parent organization provides funding, but does not directly oversee Student Forum activities. --msevans 6 Nov 2006
